Great people, great lake, great fishing. The grounds and cabins are spotlessly maintained by Frank and Anne. If you choose to rent a boats they always work flawlessly in my experience.
Additionally you are surrounded by a national Forest, so hiking, biking, atv, etc opportunities abound.
Our high school buddies have been coming here since 1994 when Ann's parents Earl & Verlyn owned the resort. Through the years we have many a fond memory of our exploits. Our fishing group has the same number but just a couple of replacements as we have said our goodbyes to 2 of our crew as we have spread their ashes at 2nd Duck Point. Frank & Ann are the nicest folks that continue to run a well maintained resort that families can enjoy for many years to come. I recommend that anyone would enjoy their stay at Birch Ridge.

Great location. Boat launch is hard to get into/out of. Recommend the public launch down the road. Marina is nice. Bait is readily available, at a higher cost. Nice lodge, service was decent. Housing/cabins were fine for what we expected had amenities and kept us cool in the hot summer. If you must be on Sucker Bay, it's the place to be. If not, I'll be trying another resort this summer. The fish were huge though! So big we couldn't keep them :-(
